Reddit (RDDT.N), a social networking site, announced on Wednesday that its services have been restored following a worldwide outage that reportedly impacted over 100,000 users, according to Downdetector reports.
Following an examination into elevated site problems, Reddit announced on its status page that the incident has been rectified.
Approximately 138,828 U.S. users reported Reddit problems on Downdetector, a service that aggregates status reports from multiple sources to monitor outages, during the outage’s height.
As of 12:31 PM ET, there were 1,285 U.S. reports left. The precise number of impacted users may differ.
Last month, there was also an outage on Reddit that impacted around 31,000 users.
Reddit experienced a major outage earlier today, leaving more than 100,000 users unable to access the platform. According to reports from outage-tracking sites, the disruption began around [insert approximate time if known] and primarily affected users in the United States, though some international regions also reported issues.
During the downtime, many users reported problems with loading posts, commenting, and accessing subreddits. Reddit acknowledged the issue on its official status page, confirming that engineers were working to resolve the problem.
